With the recent wildfires in our area, we want to do what we can to help. For every duck found, Winslow Law is donating to Horry County Fire Rescue as our charitable cause for the month of April.

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES & LIABILITY WAIVER

Welcome to the Winslow Law Duck Hunt! Before you grab your friends and start searching, please read the rules and important safety information below. By participating in the hunt, you agree to all terms and conditions outlined on this page.


🔹 No Purchase Necessary

This is a free community event — no purchase is required to participate or win.


🔹 Contest Duration & Prize Eligibility

  • The official contest period runs from April 5 to April 18, 2025.

  • One prize per winner during the official contest period.

  • Ducks may still be found and redeemed after April 18, but they will not be eligible for the Grand Prize once it has been awarded.

  • All ducks found are winners!


🔹 How to Redeem Prizes

  • Each duck includes a card with prize instructions.

  • To claim your prize, turn in the card to one of our Grand Strand office locations during normal business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM):

  • Prizes range in value from $5 to $50, awarded randomly.


🔹 Safety First

Participants agree to:

  • Obey all local laws and posted signage.

  • Search only in public, non-restricted areas.

  • Stay off private property, avoid dangerous locations (like construction zones, roadways, or bodies of water), and use common sense.

  • Respect the community, environment, and others who are playing.

If a duck looks difficult or dangerous to retrieve, don’t risk it — report it to us. Safety matters most.


🔹 Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

By participating in the Duck Hunt, you voluntarily assume all risks, including (but not limited to) minor injuries, trips/falls, weather exposure, or property damage.
You agree to release and hold harmless Winslow Law, its employees, volunteers, affiliates, and all participating sponsors from any and all claims, losses, damages, or injuries that may occur during your participation in any aspect of the Duck Hunt.


🔹 Use of Photos & Names

By accepting a prize or submitting a photo, you give Winslow Law and sponsors permission to use your name, likeness, and photo in promotional materials, social media posts, and event recaps.


🔹 Contest Changes or Cancellations

Winslow Law reserves the right to update, change, postpone, or cancel the Duck Hunt at any time for safety, weather, or other unforeseen reasons.


🔹 Legal Stuff

This contest is governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any legal matters will be handled in Horry County, SC.
