The Winslow Law definition – “to create a relationship with a person created in God’s image”
In 2012, our firm was formed in Horry County. We had a small office over a bank with two attorneys and one paralegal. We started with 70 cases. Now in 2022, Winslow Law just had a ribbon cutting for our 9,500 sq. ft. office building for six attorneys, 8 team members, and two locations. The Lord has blessed us with 214 new cases and over 2000 potential cases in 2022, so far this year. Many people ask what we have done in the firm to grow in these ten years. First, we have simply been blessed by God, our clients, community, and our team. We have worked hard and have had great success with our clients both on personal and professional levels. However in terms of marketing nothing defeats creating a relationship with those in our community. That simply starts with networking and saying hello.
Networking allows you access to opportunities you might not be able to find on your own. Your network has the potential to provide you with insight into different fields, information on what potential employers look for and advice on how you can improve professionally. If you are willing to form and maintain the relationship, a single contact could get you into meetings or interviews with several companies without you having to work to form connections at each one.
Effective networking can save you time, effort and stress, so knowing how to use it effectively can be a powerful tool for your professional development. Winslow Law is a member of chambers of commerce, business associations, community associations, nonprofit boards, the Go-Givers, and even professional networking groups. Like one that just got restarted in SC and we actually host one of their meetings at our office (on Thursdays @ 7:30am).
