Easter means lots of different things to different people. Less than 20% of Americans identify Easter as a religious holiday today; which I find pretty sad. Most people identify Easter as a family holiday; which I find to be a good thing. Gathering with family around a dinner table after Easter church just sounds right. It sounds like home; it sounds like America. But it’s important for us to remember that there are families that are hurting. We often have these thoughts around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but very rarely do we think about the loneliness or pain of others around Easter-time.
If you know of someone who needs help, who’s hurting or lonely, today’s the day to reach out to them. If you’re a Christian, think about the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made for you this past weekend, and the hope of his resurrection. Today’s the day to sacrifice and bring hope to someone in need. And if you think there’s something that Goldfinch Winslow can do to help, we’re always looking for people to assist. Let us know; we’d love to be a blessing to someone this Easter season.
Enjoy your time with your family and friends and be safe. As always, if we can ever be of assistance, please let us know.
